Exhibited here is my contribution to my first Los Angeles group gallery show, The Haunted at Homeroom at 3121 Beverly Boulevard in Westlake. This is the inaugural show at the new venture of among others, my roommate walt! Gorecki, who in addition to working his butt off for homeroom also finds time to be an illustrator, artist, musician, radio host, and all around great guy.

The opening went phenomenally, and their schedule is chock full of great events from screenings of great films like Vincent Price’s House on Haunted Hill, to stand-up comedy events. Their website is a great resource, and even includes recommended bicycling routes!
This is (obviously) inspired by the great F.W. Murnau film, Nosferatu. Made in 1922, this Dracula knock-off remains one of the scariest films of all time, with a grandiose scope and imagery that evokes fear, revulsion, and pathos simultaneously. I watched the film more than a couple of times (thanks again, Netflix Instant!) and had a lot of fun immersing myself into the world of Count Orlok. You can also get a great muliplicity of versions for free at archive.org as well, it’s definitely recommended viewing!
